Exhaust and Muffler Pipe Repair
This is a simple and relatively short term repair. I did this around 7 months ago and it’s still holding. It requires only 2 things: muffler cement and aluminum foil which is used to seal air ducts, you can find it at any Home Depot or hardware store. First, lift the car and support it on Jack Stands. Never get under a car that is supported only by a jack, it’s very dangerous.
Apply Muffler Cement at the cracks on the pipe.
Use the aluminium foil and apply several layers on top of the cement. Start the car and leave it idle for 5 minutes. Turn the car off and wait for about 1 hour before driving.
The farther the repaired place is from the exhaust manifold or the catalytic converter the longer it will last.
